Save Our Trails, Where We Can "Ride On Public Land" - Get involved or get shut out. Thats the choice facing trail riders across the country as the U.S. Forest Service launches a massive program to inventory every road and trail on the 193 million acres of public land it manages. This effort, known as the Travel Management and Off-Highway Vehicle program, will take up to four years to complete for all 155 national forests and 20 national grasslands. But under a schedule approved by the Forest Service, the process will be wrapped up in some areas this year. And that means off-road riders need to take action now. About a year ago, the U.S. Forest Service announced this plan to inventory all roads and trails in existence, and to specifically designate those that will be open to motorized recreation. Theres good news and bad news for trail riders in this plan. The good news is that rangers are being told to consider all roads and trails in their forests even unplanned, user-created trails. The U.S. Forest Service is asking for your "HELP" so they can include your interests in there Travel Management planning efforts.

Even if you are unaware of this process please proceed with the survey, as that information is useful as well. To take the survey, visit the link below.

    What is COMAC

Central Oregon Motorcycle and ATV Club

The club was started in 1988 by a group of families that saw what was happening to the off-road riding in Central Oregon and around our nation. We (off-road enthusiasts) were getting beaten up in the news and on television, and most importantly, our riding areas were being closed. Since then, COMAC members have worked hard to make Central Oregon a great place to ride and recreate. COMAC puts pride into our sport and the community by working close with the AMA (American Motorcycle Association), the USFS (United States Forest Service), and the BLM (Bureau of Land Management) to help maintain public land, educate riders, and make the most of our sport.
